about me

I started this blog the fall after getting married and moving into our first apartment together. The name was inspired by an Aperol Spritz, which I tried for the first time on our honeymoon in Sag Harbor. I love cooking, entertaining, and turning a house into a home, and the name a spritz a day is an ode to finding that honeymoon-feeling in all of it.

Initially, I wanted this blog to document mostly my culinary interests. But now, as we settle into our house, our second home together, I realize I want it to be so much more. I can find the beauty in anything, and growing up, would often encourage my family to see the beauty in chaos. I believe that there is beauty everywhere, and that most of the world is good and beautiful. I don’t feel that I romanticize my life, but rather that my life really is romantic and blessed. I want to share my perspective with the world, where I aim to create a beautiful environment for my family to thrive, while keeping my faith at the center of my life, and finding the beauty in the chaos. I’ll definitely be drinking a spritz or two while I do it, and cooking (and eating) tons of yummy food along the way.
